My MOT has expired and due to self-isolating, I can’t get out to have it done. Will this make my insurance invalid?

During this uncertain time, from the 30th of March if your vehicle can not have its annual MOT your insurance IS VALID and you are still legally able to drive your car and if it were to be involved in an incident, your claim will be covered.

The government has granted a temporary six-month MOT extension to all cars which have an MOT due from 30th March, however the vehicle must be kept in a roadworthy condition and must be taken to a garage if it needs repairs to make it roadworthy. If the vehicle is deemed unsafe, you could face a fine.
