What do I need to know about my additional driver before I can get a car insurance quote?
You will need to have the following details to hand in order to get a quote for an additional driver:
- Their date of birth
- How often they'll be using the car (casual, frequent or main driver)
- The type of licence they have
- Their employment status – their job title and industry
- Whether they have access to other cars
- Whether they've been a resident since birth – and if not, the date they became a resident
- Any previous claims or convictions that they may have had, including fixed penalty offences
- The date they passed their driving test.
- If they've had any non-spent non motoring convictions
