Why choose to auto-renew my car insurance policy?
By turning on your auto-renewal, when your renewal date comes around, your policy will automatically renew for another 12 months. This means you don’t need to do anything - giving you peace of mind that we’ve got you covered.
Don’t worry, we won’t just renew your policy without you having seen your renewal price. We’ll send you this in good time so you can review and make sure you’ve got the right product for you and make any changes that you need to.
Managing your renewal
You can manage your renewal in Your Account in the ‘Account Settings’ section, by toggling your auto-renewal on or off, and you can do this at any time during your policy year up until the day before your policy renews.
Your car insurance quote will be available to view within Your Account 30 days in advance of your renewal date. If your policy is set to automatically renew, your renewal invite will be sent to you via email 14 days before your renewal date. If your policy is not set to automatically renew, your renewal invite will be sent to you via email 26 days before your renewal date.
Don't forget, if you want your policy to auto-renew, you'll need to update your auto-renewal decision and make any changes you need, at least a day before your renewal is due, as if you pay in full we’ll take payment from the card you have on file the day before your policy starts. If you pay monthly your payment date will stay the same.
Will you remind me when I’m due to renew if I have auto-renewal switched on?
Whether your auto-renewal is switched on or off, we'll still contact your near to your renewal date with your new price.
If you don’t switch on your auto-renewal or let us know that you want your car insurance to renew, then your cover with us will end. If you haven’t arranged new insurance then you run the risk of driving uninsured, which is a criminal offence.
