Why have I been charged an extra £30 on my direct debit?

Failure to ensure your monthly payments are up to date and/or an active instruction is in place with your bank for us to collect future instalments is considered to be a breach of your Credit Agreement, which will result in our sending you a default notice.

1ST CENTRAL incurs a number of costs when this happens, including contacting the customer to find out what’s happened, updating our systems and re-presenting payment. Because of this we charge a £30 default fee that covers our costs for doing this.
