What should I do when my home insurance is due for renewal?
Auto-Renewal
If your policy is set to automatically renew, we'll email your renewal quote to you 14 days before your renewal is due. All you'll need to do is check your details are still correct. We'll renew your policy for you and send you a confirmation email. Your renewal quote will also be available to view within Your Account at the same time.
If you pay in full, providing the card details you have on file are correct and up to date, we’ll take payment the day before your policy starts. If you pay monthly your payment date will stay the same.
Manual renewal
If your policy is not set to automatically renew (manual renewal), we’ll email your renewal quote to you 14 days before your renewal is due. You’ll need to tell us if you’d like to continue your insurance with us for another year. Your renewal quote will also be available to view within Your Account at the same time.
If you do not tell us that you wish to continue, your policy will end on the date specified on your renewal email and you will no longer by covered by 1st Central Insurance.
You will need to call our home customer services team before the renewal date on 0333 043 2001.
You can update your automatic renewal settings in Your Account at any time.
