How is phone usage measured for my 1st CENTRAL Connect car insurance?

The 1ST CENTRAL Connect app classes distracted driving based on:

• Phone movement and screen activation
• When the car is moving at least 9 mph (not stopped) if your screen is unlocked and on.
• The Connect app determines that the phone is being handled

Handsfree or using a Bluetooth headset won't negatively affect your driving score. You can also use navigation apps, as long as this has been set up before your trip. Be mindful if you touch your smartphone screen whilst driving, as this will negatively affect your driving score.
