My driving licence is registered to a different address from what’s on my policy. What should I do?
If you’ve been asked to provide your driving licence as part of our validation process, you may need to provide proof of address.
If the address on your licence isn't up to date, you should still provide us with a copy of your licence. Also, you should provide one of the following documents as proof of your policy address. We'll let you know if we need anything further.
- UK-based bank or building society statement (must be less than 3 months old) please fully hide any card/account number before uploading this
- UK gas or electricity bill (must be less than 3 months old)
- UK phone or broadband bill (not mobile; must be less than 3 months old)
- UK mortgage statement (must be less than 12 months old)
- UK council tax bill (must be less than 12 months old)
- UK water bill (must be less than 12 months old)
- Letter from Benefits Agency, including Universal Credit welcome letters (must be less than 12 months old)
- Benefit letter from your local housing authority (must be less than 12 months old)
- Tenancy agreement from a housing association or a council (must be less than 12 months old)
- Letter from a university or college (must be less than 12 months old)
How to upload documents to Your Account:

- Click on ‘Documents’
- Scroll down to ‘Information request’
- Upload the document next to the relevant heading
