Why has my car insurance payment been taken twice?

If your first instalment is due before your policy starts, the payment will be taken shortly after your policy begins, then the payment will return to its normal collection date.

This means that in your first month, two payments may appear to have been taken, however, the first payment is a delayed payment which was due from the previous month.
