How do I claim for a damaged windscreen or glass?
If your car’s windscreen or a window has been damaged and needs repairing or replacing, we’re happy to help.
All our Comprehensive policies (except our 1ST CENTRAL Value policy) provide glass cover as standard. If you’re covered and the glass can be fixed, there's a £25 excess. If it needs replacing and your policy started before 30th July 2023 then you'll need to pay an excess of £95. If your policy inception date is on or after 30th July 2023 the excess payable is £125.
Once you're booked in, our windscreen provider will contact us on your behalf to confirm if your policy covers windscreen damage. If you've selected to claim under your insurance policy but you're not covered under your policy, then you can still book your car in for the windscreen to be repaired, however, you'll need to pay for the costs.
Don't worry, making a windscreen claim won't be logged as a claim and won't affect your No Claims Discount.
